Dear fellow SYV community member,

As a 13-year resident of Santa Ynez, I am committed to the well-being and future of our community. Serving as a Director and Board Vice-President for the Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District, I spent the past five years leading the Eastern Management Area Ground Sustainability Agency. In this role, I work closely with other elected officials and staff to bring our valley’s water resources into compliance with state law under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.

My professional background as an Aerospace and Defense Multi-discipline Engineering professional has equipped me with a unique skill set that I have applied to some of the most revolutionary projects in our nation’s defense, including the B-2a Stealth Bomber, Supersonic B-1b Bomber, and the Missile Defense Ground-based Interceptor. These experiences have honed my ability to solve complex problems and manage large-scale projects—skills that I bring to the Santa Ynez Community Services District and the Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District.

Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to protecting our nation and ensuring the safety of our servicemen and women. Now, I am focused on safeguarding our community by protecting our water supply and maintaining the vital infrastructure that keeps Santa Ynez vibrant and strong.

Beyond my professional life, I’ve always found great joy and fulfillment in sports, particularly baseball and tennis. Playing tennis has not only kept me in shape, but it’s also been a fantastic way to engage with our community. As a member of USTA teams, I’ve had the honor of competing at the League Sectionals in Southern California, where our teams have twice finished as Section Semi-Finalists and twice Finalist in June and September 2024.  Competed in the USTA Tri-Level league for Santa Barbara Tennis Club to advance to Sectionals in December for the fifth time in 2024. The competition, teamwork, and strategic thinking required in tennis reflect the same qualities I bring to my work—collaboration, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.
